Molly-Mae Hague has spoken out about her split from ex-fiance Tommy Fury for the first time and admitted to feeling ‘lonely’ without the boxer in her first YouTube video since the break-up.
TheLove Islandstars, both 25, shocked fans when theyconfirmed their separationon August 14, after five years of dating.
The ex-couple met on the ITV programme in 2019, and share one-year-old daughter Bambi together.
Since the split, various rumours have emerged, including claims Tommy is no longer living at home and thathe allegedly cheated on her ‘multiple times’ –which he denied.
Molly-Mae has now returned to her YouTube channel, sharing a lengthy 37-minute vlog, in which she made several heartbreaking admissions about life after the split.
‘Weekends are freaking lonely’
‘I am kind of dreading this weekend because I feel like weekends are c**p,’ she said. ‘When you are going through a breakup, weekends are literally the worst.
‘Weekends were always something, for me, that I really looked forward to, especially with your family. Because it’s memory-making time and you always do nice things.’
Molly-Mae continued: ‘I feel like weekends now are the hardest time because it is freaking lonely and really sad. So I am not really looking forward to this weekend, but, I feel like it should be getting easier with every weekend that passes.
‘Mornings [are] horrendous – evenings [are] horrendous. Weekends for me are horrendous. When you are busy in the middle of the day and you are distracted in the middle of the day that is your prime time to not think about it.’
‘I don’t plan on ever talking about it’
The influencer had began the video admitting to her 1.8million followers that she ‘hadn’t made a plan’ for what she was going to say, but that she was not going to be ‘spilling the tea’.
‘I’m not going to give a story and explain what is happening, but to be honest with you that was something that was never going to happen and isn’t something I’m planning on doing or talking about,’ she explained.
‘The last two weeks have been very, very real and it’s real life and it’s something that we’ve been going through as privately as we can but obviously not privately whatsoever and I haven’t been able to get away from it the past few weeks and I didn’t want to come on here and fuel that more and talk about it because it isn’t my coping mechanism.
‘My coping mechanism is talking to the people that I love and are so close to me and that have been so incredible to me during this time and then coming on here and pushing forward.’
‘This is real life and it’s very sad’
She continued: ‘I don’t really ever plan on talking about the past couple of weeks. It’s not something I feel comfortable with and some of you might be like “we want to know what is going on”, but like I say is, this is real life and it’s not drama and tea or a publicity stunt, as much as I wish it was. This is real life and it’s very sad and it’s very deep and it doesn’t feel right for me to come on here and talk about it.’
Molly-Mae went on to share that she hoped people ‘understood’ her decision.
‘I am an oversharer but in some aspects of my life but in other things I think it’s important to deal with things privately and also out of respect to Tommy as well because it’s just not nice and everything over the past couple of weeks have been a lot and it’s been blown way out of proportion and it’s got a bit carried away,’ she said.
‘The last thing I want to be doing is fuelling that fire and stirring the pot. For me the best way to deal with this is to move forward and look to the future.’
‘Bambi can sense the changes’
Molly-Mae explained how she’s picked up on her daughter Bambi’s sudden need for her attention and attributed it to the little one sensing the tension.
‘It’s scary. I literally can’t go to the toilet or leave the room or do anything without her crying her eyes out which is not really ideal,’ the fashionista said.
‘I think she’s kind of having attachment issues at the minute. I think she can definitely sense that obviously there are changes and things are strange at the minute.’
She added: ‘I can really feel that she can sense that which is very interesting considering she’s just a baby. I feel like, they’re not stupid, they can really pick up on things.’
‘I’ll always have a lot of love for Tommy’
She went on to thank her fans for their ongoing ‘love and support’.
Molly-Mae also said she wasn’t ‘swiping’ anything ‘under the carpet’, but she would always ‘value, respect and have a lot of love’ for her ex, the father of her daughter Bambi.
‘We were together for five years and it’s very, very sad but I want to move forward,’ she added.
