Some Max exclusives may not be available in the Hulu app - you’d have to open the Max app and authenticate your subscription with your Hulu credentials.

Is Max Available With Hulu Live TV?
If you want access to live, linear HBO channels, a great option is to add the Max add-on to a Hulu Live TV subscription. If you do this, you’ll be able to watch and record HBO shows and movies within the Hulu interface, and open the separate Max if you want that content.
Adding Max to Hulu Live TV costs $15.99/month today, but the price will rise to $16.99 to fall in line with the normal Max pricing.
This is a the superior solution for customers looking to access the features of Max and Hulu at once.

The Max add-on will cost $16.99 / month on both Hulu and Hulu+ Live TV.
Currently, there are no discounts offered by either Max or Hulu for bundling the two services together.
Will There be Commercials?
No, if you add Max to your Hulu subscription, you will be paying for the ad-free tier of Max. Even if you have an ad-supported Hulu subscription, the Max add-on for Hulu will be ad free.
Max offers a standalone ad-supported tier of its service for $9.99 / month. This version of the service is not available via Hulu.

Hulu is focused more on TV shows and has content from various TV networks, including NBC, ABC, and Fox. These shows are typically made available on Hulu the day after they air. Max is built on HBO's library and streams HBO originals the same day they air. It also has content from many Warner Bros.
Max includes: HBO series and movies, Max Originals, and select series and movies from Warner Bros., DC, Cartoon Network, Wizarding World, Adult Swim, HGTV, the Food Network, TLC, ID, Magnolia Network, Discovery, TCM, and more.
On the sign-in screen, choose Connect Your Provider.
Select Hulu as your provider and log in with your Hulu credentials. On the mobile app, scroll to the bottom of the list and tap Other TV Provider, then select Hulu.
Delete the Max app from your phone or tablet and install it again. Then, open Max and try signing in again. If you get a 'Your device time is out of sync' error on your phone or tablet, make sure the date and time are correct on your device.
Prime Video has added Max to its lineup of channels which includes Paramount+, Starz, BET+, AMC+, Discovery+ and other streamers that you can add to your subscription. Max is available ad-free for $15.99/month but Prime Video is not currently offering a free trial to Max (you can however enjoy a free trial to Prime).
Disney Plus/Hulu/Max bundle with Ads: $17/month for access to Disney Plus Basic, Hulu (with ads), and Max (with ads). Disney Plus/Hulu/Max bundle without Ads: $30/month for access to Disney Plus Premium, Hulu (no ads), and ad-free Max. Subscribers to the bundle get access to all three apps.
The cheapest way to get HBO and Discovery Plus (or Max as it's now known) is to subscribe to the Max Ad-lite tier at $9.99 a month. This version offers access to the full HBO and Discovery Plus library, two concurrent streams, 1080p resolution, no offline downloads, and 5.1 surround sound quality.
While you can choose to purchase the Max subscription through the app, it's faster, easier, and provides an overall stronger viewing experience to do it through Hulu.
